1. Preparing the Potting Mix

Because decompressed cocopeat is ready to use and already hydrated, you don't need to soak it. Simply mix it directly into your soil blend:

• Ideal Ratio: Combine 1 part Decompressed Cocopeat, 1 part vermicompost or cow manure vermicompost, and 1 part regular garden soil.

• Why it works: This creates a perfectly balanced, loose potting mix that enhances aeration and drainage while ensuring excellent nutrient absorption.

2. Sowing Seeds & Seedling Trays

• Use the decompressed cocopeat directly or mix it with a little bit of fine compost (80% cocopeat, 20% compost).

• Fill your seedling trays with the mix. Its lightweight, fluffy texture makes it incredibly easy for delicate young roots to push through and grow rapidly.

3. Improving Existing Garden Beds

• Spread a layer of decompressed cocopeat about 1 to 2 inches thick over your garden bed.

• Gently till or rake it into the top few inches of the native soil. This is especially helpful for breaking up heavy clay soils or helping sandy soils retain moisture longer.

4. Mulching

• Apply a 1-inch layer of cocopeat on top of the soil around the base of your plants.

• This acts as an organic mulch that helps retain soil moisture, suppresses weed growth, and keeps the root zones cool during hot days.
